Fizzies was one of many ”retro brands” represented.  This is a fast-growing product category, and show participants were encouraged to complete their ”Walk Down Memory Lane” passports.  The passport logged participant’s booth visits to participating retro candies, including Bonomo Turkish Taffy, Astro Pops, and Flicks Candy, among others. 

The Chicagoist blogs about some of the other nostalgic brands found at the show, including Fizzies, but didn’t like the idea of a tablet dissolving in milk…we say, don’t judge until you try it!  This delicious new flavor, made with real cocoa, along with the new Apple Cider flavor will both be available in stores in the fall.  Unfortunately, we couldn’t sample the Hot Chocolate flavor at the booth due to food safety restrictions (sampling warm milk did not seem like a good idea), but we got a great response for the Apple Cider flavor.  People loved the aroma and the hint of cinnamon!
